WWE legend Kurt Angle reveals his dream opponents during his days with the company
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle opens up on how he would like to face Daniel Bryan and Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart in two dream matches.
Angle has been part of some big matches in WWE, but the former Olympic Champion never got a chance to face Bret Hart. He earlier revealed how he wanted a chance to face The Hitman but was denied the request.
Daniel Bryan, for his part, made his comeback from retirement in 2018 and hasn’t looked back since. However, Bryan’s return was a little too late for Angle.
“He [Dolph Ziggler] wasn’t my dream match per se: Daniel Bryan was, or Bret Hart. But Dolph is right up there, without a doubt.”
Angle is a 13-time World Champion and has faced some of the biggest names in the wrestling industry. His return as WWE RAW General Manager resulted into teaming up with former UFC star Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 31.
He is one of the few men to be an inductee of both the WWE and TNA Hall of Fame. His career is considered as legendary and sensational in the business.
Angle had praises for Dolph Ziggler
Angle had a surprise name to praise in the form of Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler is close on the list of dream opponents according to him. In an interview with Inside the Ropes, he says: (h/t Rajah.com)
“I always wanted to work with Dolph. From the beginning when I came back to WWE, he was on my radar. The kid is such a special talent, he can do just about anything and I think that his size really helps him. He’s a little bit smaller, so he’s able to do a lot more. But I’ve always loved his work. I’ve been a big fan of him since he started and I would have loved to have a match with him.”
Ziggler has been with WWE since 2004 and a formidable name on the roster till date. He has won the World Heavyweight Championship, Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship twice and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
He is also a former Money in the Bank winner. He is sure to continue his impressive career in WWE and aim to achieve more gold in his career.
