Dave LaGreca says Edge vs Roman Reigns WrestleMania 37 match would be a “let down” without this star

Edge and Roman Reigns will meet at WrestleMania 37 but Daniel Bryan will be a big miss

WWE superstar Daniel Bryan has made a good little place for himself on SmackDown recently.

His feud with Jey Uso and a quick title-fight loss to Roman Reigns shortly after his Elimination Chamber win last month has seen him make all the right steps to earn himself a WrestleMania spot.

And not a spot just anywhere, but one which involves a title. The future Hall of Famer (surely, right?), instead, has been relegated to a title fights against Roman Reigns at Fastlane, while Edge would get the WrestleMania main event.

The PPV is so unimportant that it was even scrapped off last year. And to some, this would seem like an insult to Bryan’s hard work.

This is also something that has been bothering the experts. Dave LaGreca was on the Busted Open podcast earlier this week.

Daniel Bryan should be in the Roman Reigns vs Edge equation at WrestleMania

And after discussing about Bryan’s efforts recently, LaGreca said that it would be a ‘let down’ to have a WWE Universal title match between Reigns and Edge without Bryan in the picture.

“Roman Reigns has been great as a wrestler, as the head of the table, no doubt about it. The Samoan dynasty, family tradition… I love the story. But what’s grabbing me right now on this road to WrestleMania is Edge and Daniel Bryan. It would almost be a let down, Bully, if Daniel Bryan is not in this main event match at WrestleMania.”

And he went to mention that the promotions is lucky to have the Canadian back, whose career was threatened a few years because of a serious injury.

“We’re lucky to have Daniel Bryan back. And this is, think about fantasy match-ups, I mean, Daniel Bryan in the ring with Edge and Roman Reigns to me, is without a doubt a fantasy booking when it comes to WrestleMania 37.”

He’s right. It’s a fantasy match-up indeed. But WWE is a business and they had to promote Fastlane as well, which a title fight involving Bryan could well go on to do.
