Lana became the first WWE star to get one million followers on TikTok
WWE star Lana certainly loves being on social media and posting videos. The Ravishing Russian is one of the most followed stars on social media and her Instagram, Twitter and TikTok accounts are filled with videos of her dancing.
Lana learned ballet as a youngster and even majored in dance and acting in college. However, she hasn’t taken that kind of role in WWE and was Rusev’s manager.
However, that ended recently as Rusev was released by WWE during the Covid-19 pandemic cuts. They kept her and have teamed the Russian up with Natalya.
That hasn’t stopped Lana from posting on social media, and she certainly enjoyed hitting the landmark of one million followers on TikTok.
She loved being a “history maker” in WWE and even used one of Bayley’s quotes to speak about her landmark.
Lana and her husband, Rusev, appear regularly on TikTok and they have their own YouTube channels too. However, this celebration might not last long.
Lana and Rusev aren’t the only ones with third party accounts on Twitch, Cameo and YouTube. However, Vince McMahon doesn’t seem too pleased with all this.
The WWE boss recently sent out a mail to all his talents and has given them 30 days to shut down their Cameo, Twitch and other third party profiles.
This seems to be the next step in WWE’s growth and McMahon claims he owns the rights to the characters that are portrayed in these outlets.
Cameo, YouTube and Twitch provide many WWE stars with additional income. There are many YouTube channels which rake in millions of views such as UpUpDownDown, which features Xavier Woods and other stars playing video games.
It will be interesting to see what happens next given that many WWE stars might not be happy with all this.
