Lana hits out at former tag team partner Natalya over internet bullying
WWE Superstar Lana has lashed out at former tag team partner Natalya, calling her out for being an internet troll.
This comes as WWE continues its build towards a potential multi-team bout to decide the challengers for Nia Jax and Shayna Baszlers’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 37 this weekend.
It has been claimed that five teams will battle it out on day one of WrestleMania to earn a shot at the Championship on day two. This past week on SmackDown we saw the teams of Natalya and Tamina, Lana and Naomi, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke and the Riott Squad get into a brawl along with the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The build continued as Natalya and Tamina appeared on Talking Smack. During the interview, they had plenty to say about their potential opponents. Reacting to it, Naomi posted a short video on social media, insisting that she was going to beat the hell out of Natalya and Tamina.
Lana hits out at Natalya ahead of tag team battle
Naomi followed it up with another tweet aimed at Natalya, to which the “Queen of Harts” replied back in kind. The veteran performer took shots at her as well as her partner Lana.
Then it was Lana’s turn to get embroiled in the war of words as she lashed out Natalya, who had been her tag team partner on RAW right before being drafted to SmackDown. Lana called Nattie out for being butt-hurt over some internet polls that didn’t mean anything. Here’s the entire message that she wrote to the “Queen of Harts”.
Looks like WWE is fast at work to set up that multi-team event to determine the No.1 contender for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Apart from the team of Natalya and Tamina and Naomi and Lana, the aforementioned Riott Squad as well as Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke are set to be involved. There was also a hint dropped about Carmella potentially teaming up with Billie Kay on SmackDown.
As things stand, nothing has been made official. However, that could change on RAW as WWE continues its build towards ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’.
