VH1 reboots ‘The Surreal Life’ with Dennis Rodman, Stormy Daniels, Manny MUA and Lana
Former WWE Superstar Lana will be seen in a new avatar as she joins the new cast of the revived Surreal Life.
ViacomCBS is bringing back “The Surreal Life” after a 15-year hiatus. The revival, set for VH1 this fall, will feature rapper, August Alsina, NBA legend Dennis Rodman, actor Frankie Muniz, actress Kim Coles (“Living Single”), YouTuber Manny MUA, porn actress Stormy Daniels and singer Tamar Braxton in the cast.
It is described as a “wild, over the top journey that pushes them to reveal different sides of themselves in surprising ways.” “The Surreal Life” follows a list of celebs who live under one roof together and participate in different activities in a day.
The show originally ran for two seasons on The WB and then moved to VH1 for an additional four seasons, in the mid 2000s. The revival will be produced by 51 Minds Entertainment. Executive producers for the show are Christian Sarabia, Fernando Mills, Ken Martinez, Nicole Elliott, Kat Uyenco, Jen McGrogan, Jordan Browne, Elena Diaz, Tolani Holmes and Dan Caster.
Will Lana return to pro wrestling?
Lana who was released by WWE in June is touted to make a return to the wrestling scene immediately. Her husband, Miro is now seen on AEW and is the current TNT Champion. With the VH1 gig, she is set to complete a 90-day no compete clause after which she is free to sign.
Lana is also rumored to join AEW after the expiry of the clause. This means which could see her back soon. With the show, she will be shooting for a long duration and will be seen on a frequent basis.
We will have to see what is planned for Lana after the reality show. This could be a new path on her route to achieving more success in her career.
