Keith Lee has been missing from the WWE for several months
The last time Lee made a WWE appearance, was in February. It has been quite a while since the former NXT Champion featured in the promotion, and talks about his absence have been rife over the past few weeks.
Lee was promoted to the main roster in August 2020. He faced Randy Orton on the 24th of August in an episode of RAW, losing via. disqualification.
He even challenged for the title twice, most recently against Drew McIntyre on the January 4 episode of RAW.
He was then scheduled to face Riddle and Bobby Lashley at the Elimination Chamber, but an injury forced him to withdraw.
And since then, there has been no news about ‘Limitless‘.
Mike Johnson from PWInsider Elite recently revealed that Lee’s absence was certainly not due to his injuries, but because of some other ‘creative thing’.
Johnson reported:
“I have never been able to get a full answer on what happened to him. I have been led to believe it’s more of a creative thing than an injury thing, and they just for whatever reason, I don’t know why, I don’t know what the full story is. Whether he just fell foul of Vince McMahon somehow, or there is something going on that they’re keeping close to the vest, which is always possible. I can get a clear read on it, and whoever is close to him, who knows the deal, they’re not talking.” [via Wrestling-Edge]
Despite Mike Johnson of PWInsider reporting that Lee’s absence has something to do with a ‘creative issue’ rather than an ‘injury thing’, the WWE have remained silent on this issue.
There has been no word from the promotion about the former NXT champion’s whereabouts.
Lee however, shared an image on Instagram, fueling speculations of a possible comeback. He just posted a picture of himself in action.
The fans in the comment section sounded hopeful that the exciting talent might soon comeback to the WWE.
