Lita is a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the most popular female Superstars in the history of WWE. She is a former four-time WWE Women’s Champion
Lita entered the Royal Rumble earlier in the year and put up a gutsy performance. Before that, she had an altercation with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. This was her first appearance on SmackDown in 20 years.
At the Royal Rumble, she entered at number 26. She eliminated her former rival Mickie James and was eventually eliminated by Charlotte Flair. It seemed as if Lita would challenge Charlotte for the title as WWE was building their feud over a few weeks. In the end, it turned out differently as Lita ended up challenging Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship.
Lita fought hard in her match against Becky at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View but lost in the end. The crowd in Saudi Arabia gave her a standing ovation after the match.
Lita details taking on Becky Lynch
Lita recently appeared on After The Bell with Corey Graves. She said how she was fearing that her shoulder may fall out of the socket when her match began but slowly she felt confident.
“I was like, I may take that first bump, or I may throw that first clothesline and my shoulder might fall out of a socket, like, this might be a disaster, she said. “A few minutes after I’d taken a few bumps and just felt my feet under me a little bit, I was like, ‘Okay, I think we’re going to be good.'”
Lita also praised Becky and it was the trust she had in ‘The Man’ that helped her do her thing.
“It was all kind of like, in real-time. The trust that I had working with Becky was a huge factor. I know she’s going to do her thing because she’s in that zone where she’s out there defending every night, working every live event, like she’s good. Whereas in my active career, I was used to being the veteran and making sure I had to lead somebody through. I was like, okay, Becky’s good, just focus on you, and that’s all you need to do.”
“After a couple of minutes, I was like, okay, so you can breathe. I think you’re going to be able to make it through the match. Then I think like, going into the go-home, knowing where we were going with that, I was like, I think we got them. I think it’s going to actually be good. It was the steps and phases of feeling the match out.”
