The Miz revealed his tag team partner on this week’s edition of Raw.
He will face Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania with Logan Paul as his partner. The Miz took on Rey Mysterio in a match at WWE Elimination Chamber. Dominik was in Rey’s corner. It was a single’s match but Dominik got himself involved a few times, mostly in retaliation of The A-lister’s antics.
Finally, the referee had to intervene as he sent the youngster Dominik backstage. The Miz looked quite happy at the referee’s decision and thought he would finish the match quickly but “Master of the 619” had other ideas.
The Miz went for a skull-crushing finale but Rey countered with a roll-up and scored the pinfall. The two-time WWE Champion, in frustration, attacked Rey from behind, only to be met by Dominik, who came to the aid of his father. The first father-son duo in WWE delivered a double 619 followed by consecutive Frog Splashes paying homage to the Late, Great Eddie Guerrero.
After the match, an irate Miz said in a backstage interview that he will “even the odds” against the Mysterios. He mentioned he’ll find a tag team partner who has similar handsome features as The Miz and a global superstar. He had someone in mind. Then he left saying he needed to make a phone call. Fans were guessing who it could be until The Miz revealed it to be the American YouTuber-turned exhibition boxer, Logan Paul.
Logan Paul and The Miz aren’t two of the most likeable personalities from their respective fields.
Logan Paul will have his big ticket WrestleMania moment when he takes on the legendary Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik in a tag team match with The Miz for company.
Interestingly, Logan Paul previously appeared in WWE in last year’s WrestleMania. He was in Sami Zayn’s corner in Sami’s match against Kevin Owens. He received a stunner from Owens for his troubles. There was a big pop from the crowd in attendance as Paul was floored.
Paul has been chasing Flyod Mayweather for the payday after their match in June last year. As far as his payday for his WrestleMania match is concerned, he will surely earn a healthy amount.
The Miz and Logan Paul form a great heel tag team and it won’t be a surprise if they win at WresltleMania and carry on for sometime in the WWE. The duo took out Rey and Dominik this week on Raw.
