Mandy Rose made a surprise appearance on WWE NXT yesterday
Mandy Rose returned to the NXT yesterday by making a surprise appearance during a match between Sarray vs Gigi Dolin.
Rose did nothing but stand and watch the fight between Sarray and Dolin take place. Sarray won the fight and gave a shout out to Rose at an interview backstage, following her victory.
It is not known if Rose has permanently made a switch to the black and gold brand, or if it was just a cameo.
Backstage, following her appearance, Rose hinted at big plans for her future in the NXT.
Following her appearance, BT Sport WWE’s Twitter handle compared Rose’s photo with that of WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who had struck a very similar pose to the way Rose had stood today.
That iconic Stratus pose was from her own scouting mission on the SmackDown stage, back during her prime.
Mandy Rose reacts to being compared to Trish Stratus
Rose felt honoured to be compared to WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus. Quote tweeting, BT Sport WWE’s tweet, Rose wrote:
“Only emulate the best! @WWENXT @trishstratuscom
She also called Trish Stratus the GOAT.
Stratus was just unstoppable during her heydays. She was one of the faces of the 2000s women’s wrestling. The former seven-time WWE Women’s champion had achieved almost everything possible in the promotion and was on the verge of retirement at Rose’s current age (30 years).
Rose might get there eventually, but she still has a long way to go.
