Mansoor finally made his RAW debut this week on WWE as he took on Sheamus in a brutal battle
Saudi Arabian pro wrestler, Mansoor, has officially made the step up to the main roster. On this week’s RAW, Adam Pearce and Mansoor were talking in a backstage segment.
That was the 25-year-old’s first TV appearance on RAW after working Main Event and 205 for months. But he had a special guest in that conversation.
WWE United States champion, Sheamus, interrupted the duo and dared Mansoor to respond to his open challenge for the belt.
The fight was then made official and Mansoor’s RAW debut was now an official title match. The newcomer took a fair amount of beating.
However, the match could not be completed. Humberto Carrillo interfered to attack Sheamus as he continued their recent feud.
The match ended as a DQ but ‘The Celtic Warrior’ proceeded to dish out a vicious Brogue Kick to Carrillo and Mansoor.
And the rookie reacted to the match after tweeting later on, saying, “Hell of a first day at work.”
It wasn’t a loss for Mansoor, who keeps his stunning 49-match winning run alive, and Sheamus still got to keep his belt.
NXT founder, Triple H, who saw Mansoor rise on the Gold brand, also acknowledged the Saudi pro wrestler taking the step up to big things.
Him being thrown into a title match on his debut match signals big things to come. And the fact that the fight was a DQ shows WWE might be planning to do something with his streak.
But of course, it can only happen if his DQ is overturned to a no contest. And that can happen, because if they wanted to end the streak, a fair loss without Humberto’s intervention would have sufficed.
