Adam Pearce vs Roman Reigns has been confirmed for the Royal Rumble but Mark Henry has doubts about this
The talk of WWE has been Adam Pearce vs Roman Reigns at the 2021 Royal Rumble.
The shocking match was confirmed after Reigns and Paul Heyman forced Pearce into a gauntlet match on SmackDown.
Pearce didn’t want to participate in the clash but Reigns ensured that the WWE official got the win. While Pearce has been bringing up his wrestling past and how he plans to fight for the first time in six years, Mark Henry doesn’t believe the WWE official has a lot to worry about.
The World’s Strongest Man was speaking on the Busted Open podcast and asked by Ryan McKinnell if Pearce was really going to wrestle at the Rumble.
Henry claimed that this was just a storyline and that things would be shifted after a week:
“I think that this is Adam Pearce’s, he is going to be put in his place.
“It is going to be entertaining but it is not going to be anything that is going to be, it is not going to be anything that we will be talking about the week after.”
The next part saw Henry bring up one star that could become Reigns’ rival for the Rumble. Reigns had battled, and injured, Kevin Owens before this SmackDown.
That was the lead up to Reigns getting upset over Pearce as the WWE official couldn’t control the Canadian.
“I think that Kevin Owens is still such a high commodity”, said Henry.
The WWE Hall of Famer also claimed that KO could still do a great job and the Canadian would bring up how Reigns has been manipulating to get his way on SmackDown.
Owens has been a thorn in the side of Reigns and it will be interesting to see how this story goes. Pearce is a former NWA Heavyweight champion and a Hall of Famer too.
He might not have wrestled in the past six years but he could spring a surprise next week.
