The Rock and Roman Reigns are two of the biggest names in WWE
Mark Henry and Ryan McKinnell were back on the Busted Open Podcast as they dissected all that happened on WWE SmackDown.
Apart from Roman Reigns being the top heel in the business, the latest episode saw the return of The Messiah Seth Rollins.
This was Rollins’ first appearance since the birth of his daughter but even the new one couldn’t change his demeanour.
Rollins was still the regular heel as he attacked Cesaro and McKinnell believed that The Messiah vs Reigns should take place now.
They both are top heels and this would be a prelude to Reigns vs The Rock. The Rock is one of the top WWE stars of all-time and is the cousin of Reigns. They haven’t met face to face in the ring but this would be a blockbuster clash.
McKinnell believed the pair of Reigns and The Rock should meet a year or so from now, and Henry agreed:
“I would say we have at least a year. I mean, this is one, you don’t want to rush that. You have to be able to tell the entire story.
“Dwayne is busy, he got stuff to do. I think that the way you can stop gap that is you do what you just suggested.
“You have Roman and Seth lock horns.”
The big question was when would Rollins then get a crack at Reigns? Henry believed that the pair should meet after WrestleMania 37 and possibly at SummerSlam.
SummerSlam is one of the biggest PPV event for WWE after WrestleMania and it would make sense to pair them off.
Reigns and Rollins have a history of being as part of The Shield. Rollins then betrayed Reigns and Dean Ambrose as he joined The Authority.
There is a great story that WWE can develop between the former Shield members before The Rock and Reigns happens.
The Rock might be busy with a lot of movie projects at the moment. However, a return to WWE before a WrestleMania can never be ruled out for The People’s Champion.
