Matt Riddle was unsuccessful as Randy Orton missed out on the RAW main event

Matt Riddle has taken to Twitter to apologise to his teammate and tag-team partner Randy Orton after his loss on WWE RAW. Orton will now wait while Riddle takes part in the Money in the Bank ladder match in July at the next PPV.

Riddle replaced Orton in the Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying match. He was part of the match alongside Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles. This was after Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville announced a Battle Royal to determine the third opponent for the match.

Orton was removed for unknown reasons and left a vacant spot for the qualifying match. The Original Bro decided to celebrate his surprise Battle Royal win by playing the entrance music of The Viper and performing his celebration.

However, McIntyre planted a Claymore on Riddle to end the marathon battle between the trio during the main event. The Scottish Psychopath will now look to get back to the title scene after three failed attempts against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

John Morrison, McIntyre, Ricochet, and Riddle have also qualified for the men’s ladder match from the RAW brand.

Despite the loss, Orton will be proud of his teammate’s performance in the main event on Monday night. But, they seem to still have differences which have to be settled as a tag-team. The two are soon to be in the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship scene and have already had showdowns with AJ Styles and Omos.

Riddle, meanwhile, will look to win his first ever Money in the Bank as he faces a challenging task to retrieve the briefcase.

He will also want to make up for his loss on RAW, by winning the ladder match. The duo have been well received by fans and share a buzzing chemistry which is sure to get them the gold in the near future.
