WWE Superstar Matt Riddle doesn’t want to call out Brock Lesnar

WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Matt Riddle appeared on Peter Rosenberg’s “Cheap Heat” podcast (h/t Wrestling News), talked about his trash talking, and promised not to call out Brock Lesnar anymore.

Matt Riddle was in the UFC before joining WWE (WWE)

Riddle started the interview by stating that it was his idea to team with his brother Randy Orton. He then moved on to the topic of his trash-talking. He said that he didn’t want to talk trash and upset the seniors

Riddle talked about Lesnar, stating that he still wants a match with Brock, but he doesn’t want to call him anymore. He even said that The Beast told him not to call him a few years back on Royal Rumble.

“Then Brock, I still want the match with Brock, but I promised him I wouldn’t call him out anymore. He asked me not to a couple years ago at a Royal Rumble, so I respect your wishes, Mr. Beast. I won’t call you out.”

Matt Riddle talks about Goldberg and Roman Reigns as well

Riddle continued the podcast by mentioning Goldberg and said that he would like to match with Goldberg. He even mentioned that they were on the same plane while going to Saudi Arabia and bumped into each other quite a few times. Riddle is hoping for a match with Goldberg next year and believes it will be a sellout.

Raw tag team champion even said that his trash talks upset The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. He mentioned saying something about selling merchandise that didn’t impress Reigns.

“I will say this. Bill Goldberg. I’ll be honest. I think I’ve grown on the guy. I think he’s grown on me a little. I believe that match could probably happen. We both went to Saudi, we were both on the same airplane, and we bumped into each other quite a few times on that airplane. I think we can get that match. I think we can pull that one-off. No promises, but I’m hoping in 2022 we get Riddle vs Goldberg. It will sell tickets. Out of those matchups, I see that one happening the most.

“I said something about him recently. I’m not saying specific names. It could be anybody. He wasn’t happy. I talked some trash about me moving the needle and selling merch. He didn’t like what I said. I thought it was hilarious, but not everybody thinks like me.”
