Matt Riddle may get his title shot against Bobby Lashley after all
WWE RAW wrestler Matt Riddle posted a video of himself still celebrating a win over Bobby Lashley on the Red Brand last week.
Riddle was pitted against United States champion Lashley on RAW earlier this month. He started the fight well, but Lashley gained complete control later on.
Lashley brought Riddle down with the Dominator and locked him in with the Hurt Lock. Deep Waters tapped out to no one’s surprise, but the referee did not see it.
The fight went on and Riddle secured the win with a roll-up win. Since then, the 34-year-old has been enjoying his victory over Lashley, also asking the champion to give him a title shot.
Earlier on Sunday, Riddle posted a video of him catching air on his quad bike. He followed the video with a caption asking Lashley to give him a shot at the belt.
Bobby Lashley wants to ‘hurt’ Matt Riddle
Lashley was obviously not pleased with the video. He quoted the tweet and replied that he wants a match with Riddle to inflict some pain.
However, the champions stated that he does not want it to be a title match yet as Riddle has not earner his shot. He even tagged MVP in it in a bid to make a match happen.
As you can see, MVP replied to it by saying he would “make some calls”, implying that a rivalry between Lashley and Riddle may well be on the way.
Nothing about the match is confirmed yet and it is still in the stage of speculation. It could be on RAW as well on Royal Rumble, which is scheduled to take place on 31st January.
