Matt Riddle was unimpressed with Roman Reigns after some comments made by The Tribal Chief
One half of the Raw tag team champions, Matt Riddle, has ripped into Roman Reigns regarding some comments made by the WWE Universal champion.
Reigns had earlier hit out at CM Punk and then claimed that he was moving the needle on SmackDown and WWE after his win over John Cena at SummerSlam 2021.
Reigns was reacting to SummerSlam being the most viewed and highest grossing iteration of the event ever.
However, this seems to have hit Riddle a lot. The Original Bro was speaking to Bleacher Report (h/t Wrestling Inc) and claimed he could beat Reigns in a real fight:
“No disrespect to Roman, he seems like a swell fella, but at the same time, it’s like when people say they’re a good parent,” Riddle said. “You know what? If you were a good parent, your kids would be telling you you’re a good parent. When he’s saying ‘Acknowledge me’ or ‘I move the needle,’ no, you don’t. You’re related to The Rock. Shut up. Like, I’m not impressed, I can beat you up in a real fight. So, shut your mouth.”
Riddle does have actually MMA experience and he wasn’t done yet with the Tribal Chief.
RK-Bro doing the business
Riddle has formed a weird team with Randy Orton and he claimed that the Raw tag teams are the ones who move the needle with merchandise sales and more.
“You’re not moving needles. I’m the real stallion, RK-Bro is moving the merch, we’re moving the needle, and that’s it. I don’t want to say too much, I’m not trying to get in trouble,”
Riddle ended by giving credit to Reigns for all that he had done but claimed that his relation to WWE by being a relative of top stars is the reason where he is.
“I do like what he does, but at the same time, it’s like, get off your high horse. You’re in that spot for a reason. You’re not a bro. You’re second generation. I’m first generation.”
As many would know, Reigns is related to the Rock and part of one of the most illustrious wrestling families ever.
The comments certainly will hurt Reigns and it is to be seen what the Tribal Chief’s reaction to this is.
