WWE Superstar Mia Yim wants to form faction resembling nWo

This week was an important one in WWE history as it symbolised the 25 years since the coming of the nWo faction to the company.

The 25-year anniversary of WCW’s Bash at the Beach 1996, where Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash established the nWo was celebrated.

To commemorate the occasion, WWE Superstar Bayley posed with the old World Heavyweight belt and the nWo shirt.

Mia Yim responded to the post hinting at joining a new nWo with another teammate and her. The teammate could be none other than Dakota Kai who also responded, “I’d join that faction.”

Dakota Kai is still yet to make it to the main roster, but has already shown glimpses of her potential on NXT. Bayley, who is a former NXT Champion has gone on to achieve spectacular feats in her career.

During the nWo week, Steve Austin will interview fellow WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash on the latest episode of the Broken Skull Sessions.

What made the nWo so special?

The nWo (New World Order) was a professional wrestling stable. in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and later in the then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

It was first formed on July 7, 1996. The group was created when Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, two wrestlers who had recently come over to WCW from the WWF and labelled as “The Outsiders,” aligned themselves with WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.

The nWo took over WCW when Hulk Hogan defeated WCW World Heavyweight Champion The Giant (Big Show) on August 10, 1996. After the match, Hall and Nash held the World Championship belt aloft while Hogan spray painted the letters “NWO” on it. This was one of the biggest moments in nWo’s history.
