WWE NXT star Mia Yim was one of the first to celebrate wildly after her boyfriend, Keith Lee, won the NXT title from Adam Cole.
Winning the NXT title is a huge achievement in itself, however, Lee created history. The Limitless One became the first NXT star to hold both the NXT title and the North American title at the same time.
Cole might have been the bigger name coming into this clash. However, the leader of the Undisputed Era could not get the better of Lee.
It was a brutal affair between two of the best in the business. Lee has been on an incredible rise in recent months, and it all started at Survivor Series.
He won the NXT North American title and defended it against some of the top talents in the promotion. Lee is now a double champion and his girlfriend, Yim, could not hold her excitement in. The HBIC might have lost her clash to Candice LeRae at the Great American Bash but there was time to celebrate one of the biggest achievements in WWE history.
While Lee certainly got Yim excited, she wasn’t the only one happy at this result.
The Limitless One seems to be one of the most liked personalities on the WWE roster. Many WWE stars shared congratulatory messages to Lee as a new era dawns on NXT.
Lee does have a few people after his belt already. While Cole could get a rematch shot in the future, Cameron Grimes and Karrion Kross have already called out Lee.
The Limitless One has to defend two titles now, and it will be interesting to see how things take place after this historic night.
