Michael Cole and Corey Graves go completely overboard with ‘The Freak’ Lars Sullivan on SmackDown

WWE fans were reminded several times that Lars Sullivan is called The Freak on this week’s SmackDown

Lars Sullivan was in action on this week’s SmackDown and the fans were reminded of his nickname, The Freak, by the commentators several times.

Sullivan is being pushed incessantly in WWE, despite some issues with him behind the scenes. He was out of action for a while and has been in the wrong kind of news too, but WWE doesn’t care too much for that.

He made a huge impact at the start of this week’s show by attacking Jeff Hardy, and this led to a match between them.

Sullivan was unstoppable as he kicked out of Hardy’s finishers and used his own “Freak Ending” to get a huge win.

However, the commentary pair of Corey Graves and Michael Cole did oversell Sullivan, especially his nickname.

The Freak Show is here

Sullivan did look impressive on the night and made light work of Hardy. However, it is to be seen what the next step for the Freak is.

WWE have pushed stars from NXT in hopes of making them big on the main brands, but they don’t always work out.

Sullivan seemed to be on a similar road after he attacked stars at random on Raw and SmackDown. However, this was a better showing for Sullivan and makes him look like the dangerous star he is supposed to be.

SmackDown does have some top stars on their roster and it will be interesting to see what is next for The Freak in the coming weeks.
