Mick Foley isn’t too pleased about how WWE is dealing with Karrion Kross
WWE legend Mick Foley is confused about how WWE is dealing with some of the talent rosters and told about how AEW is a more attractive choice than WWE for a lot of wrestlers in a short video recently.
The Hall of Famer recently appeared on Sean Waltman’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast (h/t cagesideseats). He mentioned the issues about WWE using their rosters in 2021. Additionally, he compared AEW’s handling of rosters with WWE.
Foley then openly discussed his concerns regarding the NXT roster, especially Karrion Kross, saying that his entrance is one of the best and about NXT showing him as a generic guy.
He quoted as saying,
“In the case of Karrion Kross, don’t reinvent the wheel. If the guy has one of the best entrances in the business, and then you send him out there as a generic guy, and he loses in two minutes… people are saying, ‘this doesn’t hurt him, it wasn’t an NXT loss.’
He mentioned how WWE is taking the creative freedom from the performers and how that would impact the main roster rollouts morale.
In the recent podcast show, Mick Foley also mentioned how WWE is writing plays at the last minute, which results in rosters’ performance, and that Vince’s approach is not up to the mark due to good roster players going down. On the other hand, he praised Tony’s AEW.
He mentioned that another NXT star that WWE is messing around with is Keith Lee. He told about how dynamic Lee is and considered himself loud and proud.
The Hall of Fame confronted as saying,
“I look at Keith Lee and how dynamic he was. I know he’s had health problems, but the guy comes out, and he’s got that look. He’s a big dude, and you want to cover him up. That’s part of his appeal, he’s loud and proud.
Mick Foley lastly mentioned that he loves WWE as he has spent so many years with the company and fears that if things keep going like this, it might bring a downfall to WWE’s ratings, and AEW might go to the top.
