Braun Strowman was released by WWE in another set of shocking moves but that could be great news for AEW

The wrestling world was still coming to terms with WWE cutting many executive jobs a week back, and they did it again.

Fightful initially reported that some big names were to be released and WWE didn’t disappoint. Braun Strowman, Buddy Murphy, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett were the names to be cut.

This was coming just after WWE did the same to the likes of Peyton Royce, Samoa Joe and others. However, these releases were much bigger since the likes of Lana, Black and Strowman were all in some sort of title scene.

Strowman recently was in the WWE title scene but was unable to defeat Bobby Lashley. The Monster among men was one of the top stars in WWE and it was a shock to see him get the boot.

While Strowman posted a positive message after his release, WWE legend Mick Foley shared his thoughts on the same.

The Hall of Famer believed that Strowman should think about moving to AEW and even explained why this would make some sense.

Foley was quick to add that Strowman never saw himself feature for another wrestling promotion, but the former WWE Champion has the best years of his wrestling career ahead of him.

Braun Strowman is All Elite?

Strowman certainly would do a great job anywhere he goes and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.

All Elite Wrestling have made some big moves since becoming a regular show on TV. They already have a ton of former WWE talent in Sting, Jon Moxley, Miro while recently Mark Henry also joined the team.

The Big Show also has a role on AEW while Cody Rhodes is one of the top executives in the company. Strowman at AEW would be something special and it will be interesting to see if he does end up there.
