Tamina and Natalya finally became WWE Women’s tag champions and they seem to be popular winners too

WWE crowned new women’s tag champions on SmackDown and that was a feel good moment for many stars and the fans too.

Tamina and Natalya were unable to beat Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax at WrestleMania 37. However, the pair of WWE veterans continued their feud with the champs.

This culminated in a title match on SmackDown and it came as a bit of a surprise that Natalya and Tamina got the gold.

WWE prefers to change titles at PPVs but this was quite a moment for the veterans. Many WWE stars tweeted out how great it was to see Tamina, who has been in WWE for more than a decade, finally win a women’s title.

Natalya, for her part, has won two singles titles in her WWE career. However, this was also a huge moment for her who worked hard to get back to the top.

The win also caught the attention of wrestling legend Mick Foley and he brought up how great a moment this was for all.

It was an emotional moment for the pair and Natalya brought up just how long the journey was for her partner.

4000 days and waiting to be a champion

Natalya knows what it is to be a champion but she also brought up how hard her partner had to work in all this.

Tamina is a former 24/7 champion but that really doesn’t count for much and is a bit of a joke of a title.

This counts for a lot more and Natalya had a great response to Foley’s tweet.

Nattie highlighted that her partner went 4000+ days without winning a women’s belt in WWE. That is some time frame for her but it is great to see her get recognised and hopefully, she can keep the belt for a long time.
