Mick Foley wants WWE Champion Drew McIntyre to address live crowds so that he gets the pop he deserves
WWE legend Mick Foley has lavished huge praise on current WWE champion Drew McIntyre.
The Scottish Psychopath became the WWE Champion after defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36. Since then, he has defended the title against the likes of Big Show, Bobby Lashley and most recently Dolph Ziggler at the Extreme Rules PPV event this past weekend.
McIntyre put on a brilliant show against Ziggler on Sunday night, picking up the win, overcoming the lopsided stipulations that the Show Off had set.
Foley hails McIntyre
Given how top-class he has been since taking the belt, McIntyre has come in for praise from all quarters. He can now count the legendary Mick Foley among his admirers.
Following this week’s edition of WWE Raw, where McIntyre was once again in his elements, cutting a brilliant promo, Foley sent out a tweet, where he hailed the WWE Champion for holding down the fort in excellent manner under the current circumstances.
The former pro-wrestler further added that he hopes to see McIntyre addressing a live crowd soon so that he can get the pops he so clearly deserves.

It goes without saying that McIntyre has been absolutely killing it since his Royal Rumble win back in January.
Given the reception he had received on that night, there is no questioning that the pop we would’ve received when he beat Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania would’ve blown the roof off the place.
However, given the unfortunate circumstances, McIntyre’s entire reign as the champ has come in an empty WWE Performance Center. There is no update as to when fans will be back for the WWE shows. Hopefully, the promotion keeps the title on McIntyre until that happens.
Having defeated Ziggler on Sunday night, McIntyre will once again defend his title against the Show Off next week on Raw. This time, it will be the champion who decides the stipulations.
