But some trash talking directed at James family ignited the fire, which resulted in a giant neck breaker on the floor. Still, soon Steelz read her opponent’s move and left her lying on the floor as the momentum again shifted towards Tasha.

After a while, Mickie caught her opponent off guard, which fired up the champion as she kicked Steelz low and took her down with a seated senton for a near fall, followed by a Mick Kick to Savannah Evans, which knocked off Steelz’s second off the apron.

Steelz delivered a cutter for Chelsea Green and eliminated Evans from the equation. Green’s presence helped James as she sent Steelz into her and rolled Steels for the victory.

Mickie James sends gratitude towards WWE after Royal Rumble appearance

Impact World Champion Mickie James recently did an interview with Comic Book. He mentioned how special it was to be back at WWE for the Rumble and also expressed her feelings about facing her former WWE opponents at the same time. She said that it came as a full circle to her, and it was great.

“And I have to say I’m grateful. Thank you to WWE, and thank you to Impact Wrestling. Thank you, Johnny Ace and Scott D’Amore. I felt like it was a really cool moment in time and moment in history because obviously, we’ve seen… for the first time in like 20 years, another Championship has walked out in the Rumble, and that’s pretty insane. To be the person to do it and do it for women’s wrestling, I just thought it was freaking magical. It was so great. And then to have that rivalry with Michelle McCool revived right at the start of it, and then kind of the button on it with Lita, who I retired at Survivor Series, who eliminated me. I mean, it was just full circle all around. It was great. It was so great.”

She provided an exceptional performance at the Rumble 2022 and the fans will be looking forward to see more of Mickie at WWE.
