Updated details on WWE Superstar Samoa Joe release revealed
WWE released former NXT Champion Samoa Joe as he joined the latest addition to the list of WWE Superstars released from the company this week, including William Regal and Road Dogg.
Joe has basically been working in a backstage capacity at NXT as a scout following his brief return to the ring a while ago, seeing him capturing the NXT title for the third time.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the talent learned about Joe’s release on Wednesday even though the news did not break publicly until Thursday.
It can be seen that the company has no internal communication from the company about recent strings of releases since they have not been making public statements about releases.
A brilliant duo of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, former women’s and divas champion Mickie James were among some top women’s superstars released by the company.
Reports claim that the reason behind Samoa Joe’s release is that the WWE is looking to break Triple H’s vision for NXT from 2013-2021 and remove people Triple H brought indirectly.
According to fightful.com, no in-ring talent would be a part of this latest set of releases which clearly indicates that Samoa Joe’s time as an in-ring competitor to be over.
It has also been noted that after Joe was stripped of his NXT Championship due to an undisclosed injury, there was little to no talk to him about returning to the ring, and the new role of scout would be his only work.
