Mustafa Ali was revealed as the leader of WWE faction Retribution
The major talking point from this week’s WWE Raw was revealing Mustafa Ali as the leader of Retribution.
The faction had made life difficult for most in WWE, but it came as a bit of a surprise seeing Ali being their leader.
For a while, it seemed that Ali would join the Hurt Business and fight the heel faction. However, he ordered Retribution to attack the Business and stood tall in the middle of the ring to close out the show.
Ali has been overlooked by WWE in the past and they even gave up on his hacker persona on SmackDown.
However, he had more ominous words for his employers. Ali used a screenshot of the YouTube views WWE got from his reveal.
WWE’s social game is possibly the best in the world of pro wrestling but Ali claimed that such a huge viewership was a sign that the fans wanted Retribution to destroy WWE:

Interesting move from WWE
WWE might have dropped the ball with some of the Retribution reveals over the past few weeks, but this was hit the mark.
No one would have seen Ali join the faction let alone be the leader. However, this makes a lot of sense regarding his time on WWE.
The high-flyer has never been given a serious run on the main roster and that could have been a reason for him to form the faction.
Retribution have attacked several stars in the past but no one knew their identities. WWE doesn’t want people to think that Dominick Dijakovic or Mia Yim and the rest are members of the faction.
However, they were more than happy to show off Ali as the Retribution leader. Things will be interesting on the next Raw as Ali leads them into the light.
