Mustafa Ali wasn’t all too pleased with WWE pulling the plug on his Retribution reveal on Raw
Mustafa Ali, the leader of Retribution, was expected to feature on this week’s WWE Raw and open up on his move.
The former police officer shocked the WWE Universe by revealing himself as the leader of the faction. Retribution had caused a lot of havoc over the weeks, and Ali claimed he would speak on this move on Raw.
While Retribution remained on Raw after the WWE Draft, there was no sign of Ali. The former SmackDown star didn’t even make an appearance on the Titantron and explain his motives.
However, Ali did take a dig at WWE for failing to deal with this. Whether this was part of the storyline or Ali acting in character, he was asked about the missing appearance by a fan:
Ali was expected to become the next big star in WWE but an injury took his place away from an Elimination Chamber match.
Kofi Kingston rode that all the way to a title while Ali was left to recuperate. After the high-flyer returned to action, he was extremely neglected.
He was the one pushing the hacker role on SmackDown and Ali had a role in some reveals. However, all of that went down the drain as WWE completely forgot about this character.
Ali was then drafted to Raw and he played second fiddle to the rivalry between the Hurt Business and a few others.
However, Ali now has his own arc and it makes sense he is upset with WWE. This is his redemption arc and he can have a real go at the promotion for not getting things right.
This isn’t the first time that WWE have forgotten about a story but it is great that Ali is sticking to character and attacking his employers.
