Mustafa Ali highlighted the role of Edge in his WWE career and shared why he doesn’t use 054 finisher now
WWE superstar Mustafa Ali was doing a Q&A session on his Twitter account earlier this week. And he replied to a bunch of questions from fans.
Among this was one which asked him about his thoughts on Edge. ‘The Rated R Superstar’ won the Royal Rumble in January.
And he is now scheduled to take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 for the WWE Universal title.
But Ali discarded all of that to reveal something no fan had a clue about.
He answered that Edge saved his career. There is no context or story available to back this up, but it could be Edge’s role in the backroom writing staff.
Ali, who is the leader of the stable RETRIBUTION, has not had so much success in that storyline. So maybe it is not that.
Mustafa Ali talked about Edge and 054 earlier this week
We would only know more about this when either him, Edge, or someone who knows them comes out with the context behind the statement.
Another question that he answered was where one fan asked him about his decision to stop using the 054 finisher. That finisher is one of the most dangerous ones to execute in the game and requires a lot of agility.
It’s a shame that fans don’t get to see the high-flying move anymore, but Ali says that he a reason behind it.
He wrote that he wants to survive long enough to be able to play with his grandkids one day, implying how dangerous the move is to execute.
He is now apparently using the ‘Backstabber’, which he executed on Monday Night RAW earlier this week in his win against Matt Riddle.
