WWE following up on it’s threat to take the mic away from Mustafa Ali
Last week, after the WWE RAW’s legends special episode, Mustafa Ali went all out in a rant against the promotion for still valuing its older stars over the new ones.
Ali said that WWE should focus on the new generation stars instead of the ‘legends’ who can barely walk.
The seemingly unfiltered and heartfelt diatribe against WWE’s most famous superstars of yesteryear apparently irked the promotion. Ali tweeted after the interview that WWE wanted to take the mic away from him.
And it seems like they followed through; if they were serious and all of this wasn’t a gimmick, of course.
Mustafa did land some heavy verbal blows to the legends and you would think there was a little bit of frustration inside him due to RETRIBUTION not being a hit.
However, it is highly unlikely that WWE didn’t know what he was going to say in the interview. The only possibility, in that case, is that the promotion thought Ali overstepped the line or said something which wasn’t pre-approved.
Whatever may be the case, the Heart of 205 Live revealed that he did not get a chance to speak after T-Bar beat a Kofi Kingston-less Xavier Woods on this week’s Monday Night RAW.
Ali tweeted that he wanted the mic, and quoted that tweet 3 hours later that he was not given the microphone by WWE.
The RETRIBUTION leader is almost CM Punk-esque in the way he captivates the audience with his oratory skills.
Taking that away from him might be an attempt to make fans realize what they are actually missing out on, and by this, elevating his status as WWE’s master orator.
