MVP puts an end to the debate around Baron Corbin being in The Hurt Business
This week’s WWE RAW episode saw one of the promotion’s most successful factions, The Hurt Business, split up.
Arguments arose between Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, and Bobby Lashley inside the ring that led to pushing and shoving. In the end, the group was split in two.
Bully Ray suggested earlier this week that it was because WWE wanted to show Bobby Lashley and MVP in the spotlight. And that the duo did not need tag team partners to ‘water down their spotlight’.
But another talking point in that episode was the appearance of Baron Corbin right at the end. The SmackDown superstar showed up to help Lashley put a hit on Drew McIntyre.
Lashley had offered a title shot to anyone who would take ‘The Chosen One’ out of the frame before WrestleMania 37, and Corbin was just responding to that.
But this led to a belief that Corbin could be in THB. After all, he was with Lashley inside the ring in the final few shots of the episode.
Now, THB manager, MVP, has come out to reveal that it is not the case. And he took to his Twitter account to reveal that Corbin is not a part of the faction.
What’s interesting about this is MVP’s choice of words in still referring to ‘The Hurt Business’ as a faction that exists.
So the split does not mean the end of the idea of THB. It just means that it currently has just two members with the possibility of expanding further.
There are, however, no real indications if they will take in new wrestlers in their stable but MVP is adamant that THB is alive and well.
