Bobby Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre at Hell in a Cell and Brock Lesnar is on his mind
Bobby Lashley continued his era of dominance with a win over Drew McIntyre at WWE Hell in a Cell.
The champion also had a stipulation on his side as McIntyre’s loss ensured that the Scot could not challenge Lashley for the title again.
WWE now has to find a new star to challenge the All Mighty and some corners had been suggesting the name of Brock Lesnar.
The Beast last appeared at WrestleMania 36 where he lost the title to McIntyre. Rumours have been circling that he could be back for a big PPV, such as SummerSlam, and Lashley too has spoken about facing Lesnar in recent months.
One fans suggested that Lesnar was going to make his WWE return and beat both Lashley and McIntyre.
However, MVP, Lashley’s manager, was having none of it and even claimed that Lesnar feared The All Mighty:
This is fighting talk from MVP but it is expected from him. Lashley has been excellent since teaming up with MVP and facing Lesnar would be a huge match for SummerSlam.
What should WWE do with Brock Lesnar?
Lashley needs a new rival and it was interesting to see MVP specifically reply to this comment.
WWE has a lot of time before SummerSlam and they could build a proper rivalry between Lashley and Lesnar ahead of SummerSlam.
The PPV will also see the fans return and reports have suggested that the stadium is almost sold out already.
SummerSlam is one of WWE’s big PPVs and this would be the ideal show that sees the return of Lesnar.
Of course, the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania are other avenues for The Beast’s return. However, that would be almost three years away from WWE, and the company might not want to wait that long.
