Some changes from WWE to new King Xavier Woods and new Queen Zelina Vega
At Crown Jewel 2021, Xavier Woods was crowned the new King of the Ring when he defeated Finn Balor, and for the first time ever, a Queen’s crown was crowned as Zelina Vega defeated Duodrop.
WWE has made some changes to the new King and Queen following the win. According to PWInsider.com (h/t Wrestling Inc.) that WWE changed the plans of billing Woods as King Xavier from WWE Crown Jewel.
There were plans for Woods “King of the Ring” ceremony held on SmackDown, which featured a large graphic of King Xavier, and now his WWE roster profile is also updated to his new name of King Woods.
Along with Xavier Woods, Zelina Vega also got a new name
Vega also got her new name on Raw last night as Queen Zelina. She was also given her first official royal proclamation, and then she again defeated Doudrop in a Crown Jewel rematch.
WWE’s new King and Queen will have custom thrones, scepters, crowns, and robes. However, it will be interesting to see how these props will be used during the show.
Woods recently mentioned that he wanted to celebrate this victory with former WWE star Tyler Breeze. As he was very close to him since their developmental days. Breeze was released by WWE earlier this year.
Woods grandly celebrated this victory with his New Day mates WWE Champion Big E and Kofi Kingston.
