Lana was one among the six stars who were a victim of the recent WWE release
Lana began her WWE career in a managerial role that lasted almost 3 years. It was only after this, in the year 2016 did Lana make her in-ring debut. She was a big hit among the fans due to her ravishing looks.
Just when things seemed like they were looking good, she was released by the WWE yesterday as a part of their usual budget cuts. Other notable stars who were released are- Braun Strowman and Aleister Black.
Following her release Lana posted an emotional message on Twitter thanking the fans for the love they have shown towards her.
Her tweet read:
“I will never forget the fans, and the love they showed me. Whether it was a tank, power-suits, flags, CRUSH, Rusev, 900 partners, weddings or tables: I tried to always entertain you, and you definitely elevated me. Thank you.”
Fellow WWE superstar Natalya had words of comfort for Lana, as she acknowledged her for her hard word saying that she loved her.
“Proud of you for always working so hard, @LanaWWE. It never ever went unnoticed with me. Love you.”
It is worth noting that Natalya was the one who eliminated Lana at the 2021 Royal Rumble, after she almost spent 10 minutes inside the ring.
Dolph Ziggler shows his support for Lana
Several superstars sympathized with the newly-released wrestlers. WWE SmackDown superstar Dolph Ziggler extended his support to Lana posting the muscle emoji implying “more strength to her”.
Lana and Ziggler had an intense storyline during mid 2015. She cheated on her then in-ring partner Rusev, after kissing Ziggler in an episode of RAW.
The video is one of the most viewed videos on WWE’s YouTube channel.
