Natalya shares the one rivalry she enjoyed most in WWE
WWE Superstar Natalya has claimed that her rivalry against Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is her most favourite till date.
One of the seniormost female superstars in WWE currently, Natalya has been with the company for over a decade.
A former Divas Champion and a one-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, during her time in WWE, the Queen of Harts has worked some excellent feuds with a flurry of top stars.
However, when asked to pick which has her favourite rivalry so far, Nattie has chosen the one with Nikki Bella.
Natalya picks Nikki rivalry as favourite
Answering a question from TJRWrestling’s John Canton, the Queen of Harts tweeted:
“I’ve had so many amazing rivalries- but definitely my favorite was the one I had with Nikki. So much fun in so many ways. Loved our aggression and being able to tell a story that made all of our matches that much more meaningful.”
The said rivalry happened in the early parts of 2017. The duo weren’t competing for any titles, but it was still a gripping personal feud, with both the superstars bringing their A-game with some intense promos and aggressive wrestling.
It all started with Natalya attacking Nikki backstage prior to the 2016 Survivor Series. Nattie had lost to Bella in a match to become the captain of the Women’s SmackDown team at the pay-per-view a few weeks before. However, after the attack, she replaced Nikki as the captain but failed to lead them to a win.
After weeks of denying to have attacked Nikki, Nattie admitted to it in December 2016, kickstarting a feud. The Queen of Harts battled against Nikki in the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in 2017, with the match ending in a double count-out.
Soon after, the duo were involved in a Falls Count Anywhere match on SmackDown and put up a spectacular show. Natalya would go on to win the bout, courtesy an interference from Maryse.
As mentioned previously, there were no titles on the line. But it was just a pure personal feud filled with immense aggression. It brought the best out of both Natalya and Nikki.
The Falls Count Anywhere match in February 2017 remains one of the best matches of both their careers. So, it mustn’t come as a surprise that Natalya rates this rivalry as her most favourite so far in her career.
