Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair double down on Dave Meltzer for latest body shaming comments
Charlotte Flair was earlier suspended from Monday Night RAW due to the superstar attacking a WWE official after her loss against Asuka.
Adam Pearce announced a suspension and a $100,00 fine on RAW Talk on Monday night itself. It was later revealed that Charlotte needed the time off to get some dental work done.
‘The Queen’ seemed happy with her decision as she posted a picture with her husband, Andrade, on a boat while taking her time off from the show.
But Dave Meltzer probably read too deep into the situation. His comments on Wrestling Observer Radio were brought to Charlotte’s attention by a fan.
In the podcast, Meltzer explains how Charlotte is completing a full makeover because the industry makes her subconscious about her looks.
Charlotte’s tweet to Meltzer’s comments read:
“Yeah, I just listened. I thought @davemeltzerWON would have learned his lesson last time commenting about women’s bodies, but apparently I’m fair game[Unimpressed emoji] So I get to respond. Again. To a rumor about my body. Again. You know what? This is when I stop. Dave, Go To Hell.”
Her tweet also mentions a ‘last time’ for Meltzer, which probably refers to his controversial comments made about Peyton Royce’s weight in 2018, where he said she used to be ‘lighter’ and more attractive on NXT
She then told him that he has her phone number. And that he should have consulted her before spewing that stuff to his listeners.
Backing her up on this was Nia Jax, who laughed at the thought of Flair being subconscious about her looks, and told her that she was perfect.
Phew, we hope you learn your lesson this time around, Mr. Meltzer.
