WWE Superstars are coming to terms after latest release list included Lana
Nia Jax displayed her sadness and disappointment after fellow WWE Superstar Lana got a release from her contract.
WWE announced the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett.
Jax and Lana shared an unexpected rivalry on WWE Raw. Jax put Lana through the commentary table in successive weeks. Lana later got one on her opponent, by pushing her from behind onto a tilted table at ringside.
Lana spoke about her rivalry earlier with Nia Jax saying (h/t Sportskeeda) :
I know that everyone wants to be laughing about certain things and making jokes, but I remember that. I say a lot of prayers that I’ll come out in one piece! But I don’t know, maybe I like the adrenaline rush. Maybe there’s something wrong with me. I’m like what am I doing! I’m running towards this powerhouse not running away from it laughs]. But I won’t let fears dictate my life.”
Lana’s Career Highlights
Lana signed in 2013 and began her career as a manager. She became the manager of Rusev, her now real life husband and was promoted to WWE Raw. The “Bulgarian Brute” had numerous rivalries alongside Lana. Lana’s popularity increased after the infamous ‘Crush’ gesture to end the match.
Lana made rare appearances as a wrestler in various rivalries with her husband. She made her debut as a wrestler after the release of her husband Miro in 2020. Lana participated in tag team matches with Naomi and fought the Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. She was loved as an underdog by fans and supported throughout her wrestling career.
Her biggest accomplishment was being the last woman standing in the traditional Survivor Series match. Lana did not enter the ring throughout, but was victorious and got a win for WWE RAW.
