Nikki Cross explains pushing Alexa Bliss on SmackDown as she chases dream

Nikki Cross didn’t hold back as she defeated her best friend Alexa Bliss on SmackDown

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross met in a huge encounter on SmackDown. This was for a shot at Bayley’s WWE SmackDown Women’s title next week.

The best friends certainly gave it their all as they put on a great match. Cross was nursing some injured ribs and it seemed for a while that Bliss would get the win.

Cross also needed some attention from the referee while she failed to land a crossbody from the top rope. As Bliss came to take advantage of the situation, Cross rolled her up for the win.

Bayley was left a little impressed to see Cross get another crack at the title. The Role Model used some cheap tactics to keep the title from Cross at Extreme Rules but the record could be set straight next week.

However, there was a lot of tension between Cross and Bliss before the match. Cross even pushed Bliss near the entrance ramp ahead of the clash but she posted that all was well between the friends.

Cross claimed that she was chasing a dream of winning the title but she and Bliss had each other’s backing.

Cross to finally get the title?

While Cross has won the women’s tag team titles with Bliss she is yet to win a singles title on the main WWE brands.

She has been a thorn in the side of Bayley for a while but needs Bliss to be by her corner. Sasha Banks will surely have a role to play when Cross and Bayley meet and Bliss has to help her friend out.

Cross certainly has the bit between her teeth, and we could see a new SmackDown Women’s Champion soon if things click.
