NXT star Keith Lee created history on the second day of the Great American Bash 2020. He defeated Adam Cole to become a double champion, the first in NXT history to hold the NXT and North American titles simultaneously.

Lee has been on a rise in recent months in WWE and this was just confirmation that the promotion backs him.

Cole was the longest-reigning NXT champion and possibly the biggest name in the brand. However, Lee defeated him clean and is looking at bigger things now.

Many WWE stars have congratulated the Limitless One and one fan claimed that Lee deserved the push he got.

While WWE is known for pushing stars when they see some quality in them, Lee shot back and suggested that he did the pushing and not WWE:

“I don’t get pushed. I do the pushing. Haven’t you seen me Pounce people?”

Next battle ready for Lee

While a win over Cole is something exceptional on Lee’s CV, the Limitless One has a tough task ahead of him.

Kross is the next big thing on NXT and has done a lot on other promotions. He defeated Tommaso Ciampa early on in his WWE career, and it will be interesting to see how this rivalry develops in the coming weeks.
