Velveteen Dream attacked Adam Cole on this week’s NXT

NXT Champion Adam Cole is not happy with Velveteen Dream after this week’s show.

The longest reigning champion came out to attack Dexter Lumis on the show. Lumis was up against Undisputed Era member Roderick Strong and lost the match.

However, he latched on an Anaconda Vice on Strong and wasn’t letting go. Fellow Era members Bobby Fish and Cole came out to save Strong, but Dream attacked the pair.

He even hit Cole with a diving elbow as Dream targets the NXT title. Cole wanted a meeting with William Regal, the NXT GM, to deal with the Dream.

And the GM has accepted this demand from the NXT Champion:

Regal has been one of the best general managers WWE has had, and it will be interesting to see how he deals with this.

Cole does command a lot of power and his stable is one of the best ever. However, Dream has been close to winning the title in the past, and could get another shot.

Another title shot for Dream?

Cole was lucky to keep hold of the title in the past as he somehow defeated Dream. Lumis interfered in that match too, but ended up helping Cole rather than Dream.

The Dream should get another shot soon as no one else is stepping up to the plate. His attack on Cole was another reminder that he is still keen on landing the title, and that would be epic for all the work done by the star in the past.

Cole, for his part, would want Regal to throw the book at Dream and Lumis. The Undisputed Era have dominated NXT for a while, but they only hold one title now. Cole will be desperate to keep this, and it will be interesting to see what happens on next week’s show.
