WWE announced their NXT event NXT Great American Bash during the NXT In Your House event this past Saturday.
NXT Great American Bash 2022 will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network. WWE brought this event back during the summer of 2020 when the pandemic was at its peak.
Adam Cole headlined the show back in 2020 along with Kyle O’Reilly. Currently, both these superstars are signed with AEW. Another AEW Superstar Keith Lee won the NXT North American Championship in the main event.
This will be the first Great American Bash event under the latest NXT 2.0 banner. The previous event was during the time NXT was black and gold.

The NXT Great American Bash will be a special episode of NXT 2.0 TV on USA Network. Therefore, the episode will be available for live streaming on USANetwork.com/live or on the USA Network App.
Which matches are announced for NXT Great American Bash? Some probable matches that might take place
No matches have been announced for the event as yet. However, there are a few big-ticket matches that are likely to take place at the event.
We might see Apollo Crews take on Bron Breakker for the latter’s NXT Championship at the event next month. The former Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews surprised the WWE Universe as he returned to NXT after 6 years. He ditched his Nigerian accent and heel persona, returning as a face. The 34-year-old received a huge pop from the fans in attendance.
Roxanne Perez won the inaugural NXT Women’s Breakout tournament final on this week’s episode of WWE’s developmental brand. Mandy Rose confronted her after the match and the two were seen brawling in the middle of the ring. Perez’s win guarantees her a shot at any title on NXT and the 20-year-old will likely be challenging for the NXT Women’s Championship, currently held by Rose.
Another match we might get to see is for the NXT North American Championship. Carmelo Hayes won the NXT North American Championship for the second time after defeating Cameron Grimes at In Your House. Solo Sikoa is the No. 1 contender and he will likely face Hayes at the upcoming event.
The Creed Brothers won the NXT Tag Team Championships at In Your House. The duo will defend their titles next week on NXT against Edris Enofe and Malik Blade. However, it’s still not clear if they will defend the titles at NXT Great American Bash. We will have to wait for a couple of weeks to find how whether the members of the Diamond Mine defend their titles on the upcoming special show.
