The NXT vs AEW ratings war is raging on and WWE felt the heat despite the matches getting good grades

WWE NXT had some big matches set up before their annual WarGames TakeOver, but that didn’t help them in the ratings war with AEW.

Sting made his AEW debut, which shocked many, while Kenny Omega won the AEW World Title and then claimed he would speak on rival company Impact on Tuesday.

WWE NXT Ratings

NXT demolished in the ratings war this week as it clocked in only 658,000 viewers. AEW, for their part, brought in an incredible 913,000 viewers for the Winter is Coming show and even scored a 0.42 in the 18-49 demographic (h/t PW Torch).

NXT only got in 0.16 for this demo and that was something Tony Khan brought out too.

Khan, the head of AEW, has constantly tweeted about the ratings war in recent months. The two segments featuring Sting and Omega certainly helped them beat WWE.

WWE, for their part, haven’t been able to keep up with AEW for a while now. While they did get the better of AEW thanks to their Halloween Havoc gimmick, this week’s ratings were down compared to the previous one.

Last week, NXT brought in 712,000 viewers over the two hours and had a better demo rating of 0.20 for the 18-49 group.
