“I don’t know how to put odds on that” – Rob Van Dam opens up on possible return to WWE

Rob Van Dam might be 50 but he didn’t turn down the chances of a WWE return

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam was speaking on the After the Bell podcast after a special event.

The WWE Hall of Fame show saw RVD share his thoughts on becoming one of the few ECW originals to get inducted.

Rob Van Dam is a former ECW and WWE champion during his time with the promotion (WWE)

The only others are team 3D, Bubba and D-Von Dudley, but RVD also batted for Sabu to get inducted into the HOF.

Sabu and RVD were pioneers during their ECW days. However, RVD is still wrestling in a few promotions.

He spoke about Stone Cold Steve Austin sharing a hilarious reaction to the HOF induction, but RVD was asked about a possible return.

Corey Graves brought out the Edge situation in all this. The Rated-R Superstar made a great return to the business after a serious neck injury.

Edge faces Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37 (WWE)

However, Edge will be headlining WrestleMania 37 in a few days and RVD was asked if he would be back, even for one night.

RVD didn’t turn down that option but didn’t commit himself either:

“Hey, I go with the flow of the universe. I don’t know how to put odds on that.

“If you are talking about a one-off or something that is not full-time, I would think there is probably just as good a odds of going for it as going against it.”

Rob Van Dam to make a WWE comeback?

Nothing can be ruled out in the world of professional wrestling. Not many would have expected Edge or Daniel Bryan to make their returns after their serious injuries.

Yet, both will be starring at WrestleMania 37 and keen on winning Roman Reigns’ title. RVD might be 50 but he still is in great shape.

The former ECW and WWE champion, the only one to hold both titles at the same time, could still make a one-off return.

SummerSlam or the Royal Rumble are two shows that could see the return of RVD. However, an ECW One Night Stand show could be the right atmosphere for the Whole F’n Show to make his comeback.
