Ozzy Osbourne set to be inducted next into the WWE Hall of Fame
Music legend Ozzy Osbourne is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, as confirmed by Dave Meltzer.
The update from Meltzer claimed that Osbourne was part of the combined 2020 and 2021 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. While the Prince of Darkness did not appear in person at the ceremony, he did record a video message which was aired during the show.
The 72-year-old Osbourne has a long-standing history with WWE. He has made many cameo appearances for Vince McMahon’s pro-wrestling behemoth over the years, including at WrestleMania 2 when he, along with Captain Lou Albano managed The British Bulldogs as they beat Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine in a WWF Tag Team Championship match.
Osbourne also put on a live performance at a WWE SmackDown taping back in 2007. He was also used as a guest host for RAW in November 2009.
Who else is in the WWE Hall of Fame for 2020 and 2021?
Osbourne’s induction was hinted at after he was spotted in a commercial for the WWE Hall of Fame that was featured on SmackDown. And Meltzer has now claimed that English legend, indeed, will be in the HoF.
Osbourne joins the 2020 and 2021 WWE Hall of Fame classes. Davey Boy Smith, JBL, Jushin Liger, The nWo, The Bella Twins, William Shatner are all part of the 2020 class, along with Titus O’Neill who is the Warrior Award winner. Molly Holly, Eric Bischoff, Rob Van Dam, Kane, and The Great Khali form the class of 2021.
The Hall of Fame ceremony did not go through last year due to the pandemic. As a result, the class of 2020 and 2021 were inducted together. The ceremony will air on April 6th on Peacock in the United States of America and the WWE Network internationally.
