Zelina Vega made her return to the WWE after being out for quite a while
Nearly eight months after her release from the WWE, Zelina Vega returned to the promotion in style on the 2nd July episode of SmackDown.
She had been released in November 2020 due to her decision to continue streaming on Twitch, which violated WWE’s policy.
Several months later, in the month of May, rumors circulated that she would return soon after being spotted at the WWE Performance Center.
And, as expected she returned a couple of months later. No sooner did she arrive than Vega spoke about her plans to conquer the 2021 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
A while later, she was interrupted by Liv Morgan and eventually defeated by Morgan, who partly foiled her return.
Vega later revealed that she had huge plans in store following her return. She wrote:
“What to take from tonight: I’m back. I’m going to be in the MITB ladder match. ..and I will win. Period. Everything else is irrelevant.”
Two-time women’s champion Paige who once ruled the roost in the WWE, was beyond happy for Zelina Vega.
Taking to Twitter she expressed her delight at Vega returning to the WWE. She even had a new nickname for her. Paige called her – ‘My Little Pocket Psycho’, alluding to the small stature of Vega.
Paige’s tweet read:
“Yessss @TheaTrinidad IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU MY LITTLE POCKET PSYCHO.”
Vega looks tiny on the eye, especially to viewers watching live on their TV sets. She was dwarfed by Liv Morgan of all people, during her in-ring return.
