WWE Superstar Paige is ready to take up the role of new General Manager
The role of General Managers on WWE television seems to fluctuate from year to year. However, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville have done some exceptional jobs for the company.
Recently there have been more and more signs that Deville will return to in-ring action as her feud with Naomi continues. With all these going around, former WWE Divas Champion Paige recently took to Twitter and sent a message to WWE that she is ready to take up the role of GM once again.
She posted a GIF of Rowan Atkinson waving – implying if WWE was looking for someone to take that SmacDown GM role, they should go for her.
“Yo @WWE @VinceMcMahon since you brought GMs back a while ago..”
Paige was already the GM in 2018
Former Divas Champion Paige was the General Manager of SmackDown in 2018 and held the position for several months until it was announced that she would no longer be in the role that December.
However, she excelled as SmackDown GM, putting people in their place whenever needed and keeping the interference to a minimum, unlike Shane McMahon.
WWE never really revealed why they changed things up, but now that GMs are back and there might be a spot opening up, bringing back Paige would be something fans would love to see as many have been hoping for her return for a long time now.
It will be interesting to see if WWE makes this move of bringing Paige as the new GM. As for Deville, Pearce got her booked in a match against Naomi next week on SmackDown.
