Former WWE Divas Champion Paige wrote a heartfelt message following William Regal’s release
WWE Superstar, and Legend William Regal was shockingly fired from the company yesterday. Regal had an iconic 22-year run with the company, which ended due to NXT 2.0.
Many superstars have paid their tribute to the legend. Recently former WWE Divas Champion Paige wrote a heartfelt message for Regal. She took to Twitter and expressed gratitude towards the star. She praised Regal for all the work he had done for the company.
Her Tweet read:
“Thanks for all you did for everyone within the wrestling world. Your impact on everyone within WWE and the community as a whole is obviously undeniable. @RealKingRegal felt good to know a Brit did so well within the WWE walls. Inspiring to myself and many, thank you”
Other WWE Superstars like Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks also paid tribute to William on Twitter.
Several long time WWE employees were released by the company
Not only William Regal but WWE Hall of Famer “Road Dogg” Brian James was the first name revealed and Sarah Cummins, working as the Senior Vice President of Consumer Products. James worked with the superstars on their promos and character development in NXT and worked on producing matches.
Dave Kapoor, Ryan Katz and veteran pro referee Scott Armstrong were also released from the company. Dave Kapoor, also known in the WWE storylines as Ranjin Singh, has previously worked as a Senior Vice President of Creative. He was with WWE since 2007.
William Regal worked as WWE’s Director of Talent Development and head of Global Recruiting, being the main talent scout for the company. Regal had been a part of WWE since 2000. In just over a year the company has released a huge bunch of superstars and officials from the company.
