Pat McAfee took on Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: XXX
Former NFL star, Pat McAfee, finally got his hands on Adam Cole in a WWE at TakeOver: XXX.
The pair have been squabbling ever since Cole went on McAfee’s show and caused a ruckus. McAfee then appeared on NXT and buried the hatchet, however, Cole threw water on him and things took a nasty turn.
A brawl ensued with McAfee knocking out Cole with one kick. Triple H announced a match for the pair at TakeOver: XXX and there weren’t many who believed the former NFL star could do much in a ring.

Cole is a former NXT Triple Crown champion and was the favourite for this match. However, McAfee came prepared and wowed the WWE universe with some incredible moves. The former NFL star did a senton on a crowd of people and also a backflip from the top ropes.
McAfee also came close to getting the win over Cole and hit the former champion with his punt kick.
WWE Universe impressed by McAfee
WWE has seen several celebrities come in and try to perform in the ring. Tyson Fury, one of the greatest boxers in the world, got a win over Braun Strowman but that match wasn’t special.
McAfee might not have put in the greatest performance but he did look like a WWE star. A bit more polish, and he would not have looked out of place in this at all.
This performance from McAfee certainly stunned the WWE Universe. He was close to picking up a win and Cole had to give it his all to come out on top.
Many WWE stars were also impressed by the antics of McAfee. Kevin Owens, Beth Phoenix and Natalya were just a few who tweeted about McAfee.
Even MMA reporter Ariel Helwani was impressed by McAfee and claimed this was one of the best celeb performances ever:

Pat McAfee had no business having a match as good as he just did or performing to the level he just did – even the biggest skeptics would have to be fair and give him a huge amount of credit there.
