Wrestling Show host Pat McAfee takes comments on Cody Rhodes for starting a terrible pro wrestling company
Cody Rhodes departed from AEW and there have been talks about him moving back to WWE. Many reports have suggested a high chance of him returning to the company. On the night of Elimination Chamber, Cody was also spotted in Orlando.
Recently on The Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee referenced Cody Rhodes. However, he also mentioned that the company started by Rhodes was terrible. He even said, “hell with Cody Rhodes.”
“I guess Cody Rhodes is coming to WWE. I guess, who cares? He and his little friends started something. It was terrible. We actually went head to head with them on Wednesdays. We beat them a couple of different times. Who cares? The hell with Cody Rhodes.” (h/t Ringside News)
McAfee, on his show, said that he’s actually “pumped” about Cody coming to WWE but only if he comes to SmackDown.
“If he’s coming to SmackDown, I’m excited about it,”
Pat also joked about Cody’s stardust gimmick, but we will have to wait and watch as Vince McMahon still owns the trademark for that. But it will be interesting how he makes a comeback.
This week on Monday Night Raw, several hints were dropped quite few tips about Cody returning to the company. He was referenced four or five times on the show, including The Miz teasing a “dashing” tag partner.
Edge suggests that his WrestleMania opponent is “undeniable”, and the official Twitter handle also explicitly mentioned “smoke and mirrors.” It would be interesting to see if Rhodes truly makes an entry to WWE in some time.
