Roman Reigns is the longest-reigning Universal Champion while The Usos are the longest-reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions in the history of WWE. The Bloodline, comprising Roman Reigns and The Usos have been one of the most dominant factions in pro wrestling in recent times.
The trio of Roman Reigns and The Usos are called The Bloodline and they have been one of the most dominant factions in pro wrestling in recent times. Roman Reigns has beaten the likes of Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, John Cena, and many other legendary wrestlers during his 617-day reign as the Universal Champion.
Jimmy and Jey Uso, on the other hand, have defeated almost every tag team in WWE during their historic reign. At the main event of WrestleMania Backlash, The Bloodline defeated RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre in a six-man tag team match.
After the intriguing match, Paul Heyman was interviewed backstage. He was asked if he had any doubts regarding The Bloodline’s chances of winning in his mind as the match saw a lot of carnage.
Heyman’s answer was an emphatic “no” and he went on to say that The Bloodline is more dominant than various other legendary factions like The Four Horsemen, nWo, DX, The Alliance, and The Heenan Family.
“Doubt? In my mind? No! I mean come on let’s shoot from the hip here. The Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns. The longest-reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions of all time, The Usos. The Bloodline is the most dominant faction in pro wrestling/sports entertainment history. You can tell me all about The Four Horsemen, you can tell me all about the nWo, you can tell me about DX, you can tell me about The Heenan Family, you can even tell me about the dangerous Alliance. There has never been a faction as dominant as The Bloodline.”
Was The Bloodline Vs Rk-Bro and Drew McIntyre a good idea?
The RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre versus The Bloodline match was initially supposed to be a Winners Take All Tag Team Titles Unification Match between The Usos and RK-Bro.
The match was later changed when Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro took out The Bloodline on an episode of SmackDown. Reigns and McIntyre were added to the mix to make it a six-man tag team match.
A tag team match in the main event of a pay-per-view is quite rare but WWE seemed to tread into the uncommon. The match was absolutely scintillating but there were a few question marks regarding the result.
As per reports, The Scottish Warrior is set to begin a feud with Roman Reigns. The feud is going to go on for a few months. This was a good opportunity to show McIntyre as an opponent cable of dismantling the Roman Empire.
However, throughout the match, barring a few seconds, Reigns was shown at his dominating best. The Bloodline won the match and that was not really necessary. A win for McIntyre and his team would have been a great way to start the feud.
The good thing was that McIntyre did not take the pin at least. We will have to wait and see how the story between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre unfolds from here on. However, it seems WWE blew a golden opportunity to add some fuel to the fire at WrestleMania Backlash.
