Paul Heyman showers praise for his special counsel Roman Reigns before WrestleMania
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been in the form of his life as a champion. His reign continues to grow with time, and now he has a more significant challenge awaiting him at WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar.
However, Paul Heyman, the special counsel of The Tribal Chief, is pretty confident of him winning the Unification Winner takes all match at WrestleMania 38.
Heyman took to Instagram and posted a picture of him with The Big Dog and captioned it with heaps of praise about Reigns. This is what the caption says,
“Longest championship reign of ANY @WWE titleholder in the past 34 years. UNDISPUTED.
The greatest championship run in @WWE history. UNDISPUTED.
The greatest champion in the history of sports entertainment. UNDISPUTED.
And that legacy will be solidified on Sunday Night, April 3rd, when @romanreigns conquers #brocklesnar in the #TitleVsTitle #ChampionVsChampion #WinnerTakeAll #MainEvent of the biggest #WrestleMania of all time!”
Since his return to the WWE after taking an indefinite leave from WWE, Reigns has expressed his desire to work with Paul Heyman and wanted Michael Hayes to produce his matches.
He once appeared on the Sports Illustrated Media podcast, where he revealed that he requested Vince McMahon about working with Heyman and Hayes upon his return.
“I had two requests. First, I wanted to work with Michael Hayes. That’s my guy. He’s been with me from The Shield days and even before that with my family, and a lot of the people around me have been in relations and in close contact with my family, even before my time as a performer, back when I was just a kid. So they have a great history with my family, and they have taken to me like family, like blood, and those are two guys who are critically in my process – Michael Hayes and Paul Heyman.”
And this masterstroke has turned out pretty well for Reigns in his WWE career. His reign as a Universal Champion has gone past 500 days, and now he will defend this at WrestleMania with Heyman by his side.
